Long Ash Service Station is situated on the A37 between Dorchester and Yeovil. It is a family owned and run business that was formed back in 1987 by John and Sandra Beale.
Our site has undergone major developments over the
years to become an extremely busy and reputable garage. At Long Ash
Service Station customer service and satisfaction is our main

Long Ash Service Station provides a wide range of services and
products. The recently expanded and refurbished Spar shop
offers a large selection of wines, beers and spirits, national
lottery, paypoint, magazines, newspapers, fresh local meats
and cheeses, groceries, chilled and frozen foods and a lot
more.
Over 50 years ago John Beale began his career as an
mechanical engineer then later moved across into motor mechanics.
John then managed a number of garages before he bought his first
garage in the small village of Melplash in Dorset. After building a
solid reputation and running Melplash Motors for 7 successful
years John and his wife Sandra bought Long Ash Service Station
in 1987.
After many successful years developing the garage and building a
large customer base the running of the garage was handed over to
John and Sandra's son Ross. Ross has come from a successful
management career within the IT industry working within large
organisations such as British Airways and the Ministry of Defence.
Ross will draw upon his experience and skills to take the company
forward into the future.
